Just over a month after becoming husband and wife, Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck celebrated their marriage with a second wedding in Georgia, People reports. According to Yahoo, esteemed wedding planner Colin Cowie oversaw the three-day long celebration, which reportedly included a rehearsal dinner, a ceremony held in a tree-lined tent, a waterfront dinner, and plenty of fireworks. A post-nuptial barbecue and picnic are set to take place tomorrow. Daily Mail reports that the festivities set the couple back upwards of $400,000.

Lopez and Affleck wanted to plan a “fun and casual” party to celebrate their marriage with family and friends who didn’t attend their legal wedding ceremony last month, Us Weekly reports. The duo, who went public with their second-time relationship in July of 2021, tied the knot at Las Vegas’ Little White Chapel on July 17, 2022, at 12:30 A.M.; the bride later shared details of the couple’s intimate “I dos” in her newsletter, On The JLo.

By all accounts, the newlyweds delivered on their planning goal and then some. According to Entertainment Tonight, the large celebration was held at Affleck’s home in Riceboro, Georgia, and multiple different tents were erected for the occasion. A source previously told ET, “Ben and Jen are so excited to have their wedding celebration this weekend in Georgia. It’s a special place for them as a couple and they can’t wait to celebrate their love in front of their friends and family. Their loved ones are so happy for them and everyone is looking forward to getting together and celebrating.”

According to Yahoo, Lopez walked down the aisle in a custom Ralph Lauren wedding dress. Page Six reports that celebrity life coach and podcaster Jay Shetty was tapped to serve as the officiant. Unlike their first wedding, which was attended by only their children, Lopez and Affleck’s second celebration had a star-studded guest list, including Matt Damon, Luciana Barroso, Kevin Smith, and talent agent Patrick Whitesell, People reports.

Based on a Tweet from Smith, which also featured fellow Clerks actor Jay Mewes, guests were asked to arrive in all-white attire. ET also confirmed that guests were spotted at a nearby hotel in a variety of different white outfits. “Everyone is dressed in white with most women in white dresses and gowns, and most men in white suits, a majority in linen material, but the dress code features a wide variety,” a source told the outlet. “Some men are in white shorts and sneakers and there is a female guest in a white fringe leather jacket and sparkly cowboy hat.”

In addition to fun, Lopez and Affleck clearly prioritized security for their wedding celebration. According to Page Six, local police declared a “no-fly zone” within a three-mile radius of the property and security boats were seen patrolling the waterways around the home. Guests were transported to the festivities in white trolleys and security officers were posted at the property’s entrance to check IDs.
